We’re protecting our people
We have suspended all non-essential business travel and are encouraging our people to use virtual conferencing solutions to meet with each other. Anyone (our people and visitors) returning to the UK from mainland China, the Republic of Korea, and Iran is automatically excluded from our offices, events and client sites for 14 days from the date of arrival back in the UK. This also applies to anyone returning to the UK from Italy after 9 March 2020.
As a responsible Employer we will wherever possible encourage employees, clients and contractors to hold video or conference calls in place of face to face meetings. We are ready to follow any further guidance from Public Health England to protect the health and safety of our people.
Business continuity at CNC Heating Ltd
CNC Heating Ltd understands the importance and benefits of managing resilient and recoverable operations to service our clients. We have designed the most important aspects of how we deliver client service to be fault tolerant, minimising any single points-of-failure. From how we use technology, operate engagement teams, and utilise internal CNC Heating services, our operations are highly resilient and secure.
We recognise that even enhanced resilience has its limitations and so have established business continuity and incident management arrangements to prepare, respond, and recover from various types of operational threats.
We believe our business continuity plans both protect our people and reduce the level of potential service interruption to our clients and business operations as well as allowing for efficient and proven recovery efforts.
We’re ensuring continuity for our clients within the UK
Everyday flexibility is part of the way we work at CNC Heating which means working remotely is a familiar practice for our teams. While the circumstances which may arise due to a potential COVID-19 outbreak will be unknown, we are confident our people are prepared.
All of our people are equipped with laptops, chargers, headsets, mobile phones and access to the 4G network to ensure they can continue to work effectively whether they be at home, or at CNC Heating office
Our IT systems are designed to suit a remote workforce. We use Cloud technology to ensure our people can access documents from anywhere. We have policies in place which cover the appropriate way to work securely when out of the office to ensure confidentiality and the protection of data. We will provide additional guidance to our people should the need to work remotely arise. All internet connections on CNC Heating laptops and phones are protected using secure VPN technology.
If it were to become impractical or undesirable to travel to meet face to face, we’d encourage a conversation with your CNC Heating contact to discuss and agree suitable alternative ways of working.
We’re preparing as a business
We’re monitoring and acting on the advice of Governments in the territories in which we operate, the World Health Organisation and our own medical advisers. We are undertaking full business impact assessments across our business to identify potential risks and prepare for the continuation of services under a worst-case scenario. In the meantime, to help prevent the spread of the virus and protect everyone, we will be asking all visitors to our offices to wash their hands on arrival before going into meeting rooms. We have provided hand sanitisers, extra wipes, tissues and paper towels and encourage their use throughout our offices and mobile staff.
